The Ministry of Justice announced that today they sent an electronic request to the Ministry of Justice of Serbia for the extradition of Alija Balijagić, with complete supporting documentation.
That man from Bjelopolje is suspected of having killed Jovan and Milenko Madžgalj on October 25 in the village of Sokolac. He was arrested yesterday near Priboj, in Serbia.
"The extradition of the named person is requested for the purpose of conducting criminal proceedings according to the order on the investigation of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje for the criminal offense of aggravated murder from Article 144 paragraph 1 points 1 and 8 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro in conjunction with the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and of explosive substances from Article 403 paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro," the announcement reads.
