President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić and MP Milan Knežević addressed in writing to the supreme state prosecutor Milorad Marković, asking for information whether Siniša Milić and Zoran Vučinić, acting prosecutors in the "coup d'état" case, were aware in their closing statement that the Special State Prosecutor's Office formed the case against the former Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin, the former chief special prosecutor Millivoja Katnić and his associate at the time Saša Čađenović.
If they were aware of it, say Mandić and Knežević, then they "contributed to the new contamination of the already contaminated procedure".
"Dear Mr. Marković, bearing in mind the fact that the SDT under the designation Kt-S.no. 98/24 formed a case against the suspects Zoran Pažin, Milivoj Katnić and Saša Čađenović for the criminal offense of unlawful influence under Article 422 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro Above and against Milivoj Katnić and Saša Čađenović, for the extended criminal offense of abuse of official position referred to in Article 416 para Regarding Article 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, we are addressing you with this submission, since the case against the suspects ZP and S.Č ., when the closing arguments in the attempted terrorism proceedings were held, but also the first-instance verdict of acquittal was passed, we ask you for information on whether the prosecuting prosecutors Siniša Milić and Zoran Vučinić, in his closing speech, was informed of the fact that the SDT had filed a case against the above-mentioned persons, of whom MK and S. Č. were charged with terrorism in an attempt on the day of the parliamentary elections on October 49, 1. If so, then with we rightly state that they contributed to new contamination of an already contaminated procedure. And if they were not informed, we consider it very expedient and useful for them to be informed about the same", it is written in the letter to Marković, which was delivered to the media by the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro".
Mandić and Knežević indicate that they are still waiting for the written dispatch of the first-instance verdict.
"We also want to inform you that the authorized representative of Milan Knežević, lawyer Dušan Radosavljević, submitted a request to the special state prosecutor Vukas Radonjić on November 12.11, 2024, to allow him to have access to the files of the case established by the SDT against the suspects ZP, MK and S Č. to which we have the right as the injured party, and we ask you, taking into account the passage of time and the importance of this case, that as VDT within its jurisdiction you are urging for a prompt reaction of the acting prosecutor", he writes in his address to the VDT.
