Director of the Public Enterprise National Parks of Montenegro, Marinela Đuretić, announced today that her husband filed the report due to threats to her and her family.

In a statement, she said that in order to disseminate accurate information, she wants to clarify the situation regarding the report of threats directed at her and her family.

"Vijesti" announced this morning that Đuretić did not report the threats to the police or the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, as was announced three days ago from the official email of the company she heads.

"The director of the Public Enterprise National Parks of Montenegro did not submit a report to the Security Department in Podgorica regarding the allegations in your questions, while notifications will be collected from her regarding the given circumstances," the police administration replied to "Vijesti".

"As I stated in the previous statement, due to threats to me and my family, the report under number 16146/2024 was filed by my husband on December 5.12.2024, XNUMX, since the threats were addressed to him and related to me. to the content of the threats, I made a statement in order to shed light on the circumstances parks. Such actions represent additional pressure and undermine professional and personal safety," Đuretić emphasized in today's statement.

She added that, confident in the correctness of the decisions she made in order to more effectively improve the work of the National Parks of Montenegro, she will continue the fight with the aim of suppressing all forms of illegal activity in order to ensure optimal conditions for its functioning and the work of all employees.

"My key goal is that the positive images of the work of this Public Enterprise in accordance with European standards, as well as the protection of natural and cultural values ​​and their promotion on the national and international level, will be the first association for the national parks of Montenegro. In this direction, I expect support and At the same time, I would like to thank the police for their quick and timely action. I also thank all other subjects and individuals who have condemned such actions and provided support in protecting the right to safety independent work," said Đuretić.
