Gačević: ODT in Pljevlja did not conclude a contract for the lease of an office building with "Vektra Jakić".

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Pljevlja did not conclude a contract with "Vektra Jakić" on the lease of the office building in the center of Pljevlja where the ODT is located, nor is it obligated to pay the rent.

This is what the spokesman of the ODT in Pljevlja, prosecutor Ivan Gačević, told Vijesti.

Gačević says that the lease agreement with "Vektra Jakić" was concluded by the Property Administration and that the agreement regulates who will pay the rent of the two-story building in the city center and how much per month.

The ODT did not know how much the rental price was, nor did they have information that the rent had not been paid for seven years.

The two-story building in the center of Pljevlja, which used to be the administration of the company "Građevinar", was bought in 2007 by the company of Podgorica businessman Dragan Brković, and for more than 13 years the tenant has been ODT.

The lease contract for office space was concluded on July 4, 2011 between "Vektra Jakić" and the then Property Administration.

The lease agreement was extended several times and the space was completely repurposed for the needs of ODT in Pljevlja.

On September 27, the bankruptcy administrator of "Vektra Jakić" Dragan Keković informed the State Property Administration that, if ODT Pljevlja still wants to use the premises, it should conclude a Lease Agreement at the new market price determined by the court expert and authorized appraiser Oliver Grahovac.

The expert estimated that the monthly lease of the building should amount to 3.524,40 euros without VAT, which is significantly higher than the previous lease price, which was 357 euros per month.

Keković told "Vijesta" that the lease of "Vektri Jakić" was paid regularly at that price until January 1, 2018, and that after that year the rent was not paid even though ODT in Pljevlja continued to use the space.

The bankruptcy trustee hopes to reach an agreement with the Property Authority to settle debts for the past seven years.

Keković recently informed the Prosecutor's Council that he published an ad for the sale of the building at an initial price of 424.600 euros.

At the last session, the Government adopted the Information on the need to participate in the public bidding process for the purchase of this space for the needs of ODT in Pljevlja, which was submitted by the State Property Administration.
