Petar Ivanović was brought to the Special Police Department (SPO) for questioning around 21.40:XNUMX p.m.

SPO officers, accompanied by Ivanović and his lawyer, completed the marathon search of the villa, wine cellar, property in Doljani near Podgorica, as well as other real estate that the Special State Prosecutor's Office believes to be in the possession of the suspected former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development just after 21 p.m.

Searches of Ivanović's property, which is believed to be worth millions, began early this morning, but due to the extensive list, SPO officers finished their work after several hours.

Petar Ivanović and another former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milutin Simović, were arrested this morning in a major operation by SDT and SPO.

In addition to them, former state secretary Nemanja Katnić and former head of the Finance, Accounting and Public Procurement Service Vukica Perović were also arrested. The news has learned that, after the hearing, Perović was released to defend herself in further proceedings.

Former Minister of Agriculture Budimir Mugoša, who arrived at the SDT building after 15:XNUMX p.m., where he gave a statement before the prosecution during the investigation in this case, is included in the criminal report of the SPO.

The SDT announced that the SPO filed a criminal complaint, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the suspects committed - three extended criminal offenses of abuse of official position and two criminal offenses of abuse of official position.

"The subject of the criminal complaint and proceedings is the allocation of funds to certain non-governmental organizations, in the period from April 2014 to July 2019, contrary to the Decree on the conditions, manner and dynamics of the implementation of agrarian policy measures - the Agricultural Budget for specific years, which benefited non-governmental organizations , and damage was inflicted on the injured Montenegro in the amount of over 300,000 euros in total," the Special State Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.

The police will take the suspects to the SDT for questioning within the legal term.
