After a hearing in the High Court in Bijelo Polje, Beranac Radomir Đukić was ordered to be detained for the criminal offense of aggravated attempted murder, combined with the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive devices.
Đukić, after escaping on January 17, 2022, was arrested yesterday in Berane.
The alleged member of the organized criminal group Beranac Vuk Vulević was deprived of his freedom in the action of the Sector for Combating Organized Crime (SBPK) and the Special Police Unit.
The decision on detention was made by a council composed of: Dragan Dašić, president of the council, Svetlana Načić and Milan Smolovića. Detention may last until further decision of the court.
The higher state prosecution filed an indictment on March 14, 2022, with a proposal to extend the detention of Đukić and his fellow citizen Kenan Sujković.
According to the indictment, Đukić tried to take the lives of Kenan and Ismet Sujković, Miomir and Aleksandar Marsenić and Nino Jašarović on January 5 last year, around 12:40, in Ulica čvetre Crnogorska brigade in Berane, in front of the restaurant "Eks", in a sane condition. , who were sitting on the terrace of the "Park" bar.
Sujković is accused of trying to take Đukić's life at the moment when Đukić was firing projectiles in their direction, firing several projectiles from a 9 mm pistol of an unknown brand, which he was carrying without authorization.
Đukić, "Vijesti" learned from the High Court, was arrested yesterday at 6.10:XNUMX a.m. in the family cottage in the village of Polica-Goražde, on the basis of a national and international warrant, after which he was taken to Bijelo Polje Prison.
The warrant for Đukić was issued on January 17, 2022, and the international one was issued on March 28, 2022.
Due to his escape, on October 3, 2023, the High Court adopted the proposal of the High State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje, that Đukić be tried in absentia in the case in question.
"After considering the case files, and after hearing the defendant, this panel finds that it is necessary to order custody of the defendant Radomir Đukić, because there is a well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal acts charged in this proceeding, as well as that there is a risk of the defendant's escape if he remains at large, i.e. there is a reason for detention," reads the High Court's decision on detention.
