The Nikšić police, having carried out searches at several locations, found one pistol and ammunition in illegal possession, which they informed the prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office, the Police Administration announced.
"Police officers of the Regional Security Center 'Zapad', conducting activities within their competence aimed at finding firearms, ammunition and explosive materials in illegal possession, conducted searches at several locations.
"By searching the house and other premises used by the SP, the police found a 'Beretta' pistol, as well as seven pieces of pistol ammunition of the appropriate caliber, in illegal possession," the statement said.
The police said that the prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was aware of the incident, who will carry out the legal qualification of the crime after appropriate expert examinations.
