All activities in Budva are monitored, analyzed and undertaken by officers of the Regional Security Center "South", Security Department (OB) Budva, both in relation to the current security situation and in relation to the submitted reports - indiscriminately, transparently and exclusively according to the law and in consultation with by the competent prosecutor's office, it was reported from the Police Administration (UP).
The UP announced "in relation to the allegations of certain political subjects regarding the behavior of the police in Budva, and on the occasion of holding a session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) Budva".
"Officials of the Budva Security Department acted in a timely manner in relation to each individual report submitted to this Department, as well as the publicly stated views of individual persons in Budva, and informed the competent prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor about them. Measures and actions regarding the mentioned reports are ongoing and the competent state prosecutor is informed of all the details," the announcement reads.
They added that the information published in some media stating that additional police forces were sent from Podgorica to Budva is incorrect.
"It is important to note that the Municipality of Budva has an Internal Protection Service which, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Persons and Property, has the prescribed powers when it comes to the protection of the area it provides, including control of access and identification of persons in the protected area, in this case the building SO Budva", the announcement states.
