Milašinović is one of those accused of complicity in the double murder in Veruša.
Vanja Burda is charged with the murder of Radovan Marković.
Vanja Burda from Tuzla was arrested on April 4, 2024, in an operation by the Crime Suppression Sector and the Podgorica police. This multiple repeat offender in the commission of serious crimes was handcuffed a few hours after the police deprived Beranec's Haris Kočan of his liberty.
According to the confirmed indictment, Kočan intentionally killed Radovan Marković on March 3, 2024, in the town of Meterizi near the main road Podgorica - Cetinje.
"In the manner that while he was in the vehicle with the injured party, sitting in the back seat, and the injured party in the driver's seat, while the vehicle was in motion, he fired several projectiles from an automatic rifle in the direction of the injured party, two of which hit the injured party in the back, resulting in the injured party's death."
The same prosecution file states that, after Kočan killed Marković, the defendant Burda, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and in order to help Kočan conceal the means with which he committed the crime of murder and the resulting traces, doused the vehicle in which all three of them were previously located with gasoline, and used a lighter to create a flame that caused a fire in the vehicle.
"Kočan committed the criminal offense of murder under Article 143 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro and the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, and Burda committed the criminal offense of assisting the perpetrator after the commission of a criminal offense under Article 387, paragraph 2, in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro and the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, it is written in the indictment," the indictment states, which also charges Kočan with the attempted murder of two alleged members of the Kavač clan, Cetinje residents Nikola Drecun and Igor Mašanović, in November 2023.
Kočan, Burda and the now deceased Marković are allegedly members of the criminal Skalja clan.
