The Police Directorate is at the disposal of the State Prosecutor's Office, which is acting upon the filed criminal report to determine all relevant facts that would lead to clarification of the circumstances of how and who submitted the video recording - a recording of the late IS in the form of a farewell message.
This was announced by the Police Directorate after "Vijesti" reported this morning that a woman from Podgorica, to whom her friend IS sent a farewell video before she allegedly committed suicide, has filed a criminal complaint against an unidentified officer of the Police Directorate, on suspicion that the recording was leaked to the public.
This resident of the capital, whose identity is known to the "Vijesti" editorial office, claims that her mother did not give the video to anyone except a Podgorica police officer, and that she did so after it was revealed that IS had disappeared.
The police announced that police officers will inform the Department for Internal Control of Police Work in order to determine all the circumstances of this event.
"It will also be determined whether the recording was accessible to third parties, other than police officers, in order to direct the investigation in both directions. Police Directorate officers will give their full contribution and be cooperative with both the state prosecutor's office and the IS family, about which, after the investigation is completed, the public will be informed in a timely manner," the police announced.
