The Police Directorate (UP) officially announced that the Cetinje police today conducted searches of facilities at four locations used by an operationally interesting VJ person.
The UP announced that, in accordance with the intensified planned activities they are carrying out, MM and RV, who were wanted at the national level, were arrested.
MM, as stated by the UP, is a member of an organized criminal group, while RV was arrested while serving a prison sentence.
"These police activities in Cetinje once again confirm the dedication and determination of the officers of the Regional Security Center 'Centar' and the Cetinje Security Department in the fight against organized crime and preserving the safety of citizens," the statement said.
"Officers of the Police Directorate are dedicatedly and continuously carrying out intensive activities aimed at improving the security environment and effectively combating organized crime. Their activities include dealing with all security risks and challenges, not only in the territory of Cetinje but also in other cities, with special attention paid to strengthening relations with the community and creating a safer environment for all citizens," the UP said.
"Vijesti" previously announced that searches of apartments of persons of operational interest and persons associated with them were underway at several locations in the territory of Cetinje.
The Police Directorate unofficially told Vijesti that this was an action by officers from the Crime Prevention Sector, aimed at those who are listed in police records as OIL.
