Serbian citizen H.Š. (27) from Novi Pazar was sentenced to 56 days in prison for illegal residence in Montenegro and possession of a small amount of cocaine, the Budva Misdemeanor Court announced.

It is stated that H.Š. was found in Ulcinj on Thursday, although he was expelled from Montenegro with a three-year entry ban by the decision of the Reception Center for Foreigners dated March 14th last year.

The Budva Minor Offences Court said that during the inspection and search of H.Š., police officers found 3,2 grams of cocaine intended for personal use, for which he was fined EUR 400.

"After Judge Anka Kemić handed down his sentences and ordered that they must be served immediately upon sentencing, they were replaced with a prison sentence totaling 56 days due to his inability to pay," the statement said.

The court stated that, after serving his sentence, the defendant will be expelled from the territory of Montenegro.
