Montenegrin citizen DM (48) was arrested in Serbia on an international warrant issued by the Interpol NCB Podgorica, the Police Directorate announced today.

The statement states that proceedings are being conducted against DM before the Basic Court in Bijelo Polje on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of domestic violence or violence in the family community and attempting to prevent an official from performing an official act.

"DM has been placed in extradition detention in the Republic of Serbia, and communication is ongoing between the law enforcement authorities of Montenegro and Serbia with the aim of implementing the extradition," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
