Several weapons and ammunition found in Podgorica and Danilovgrad, two people arrested

Police in Podgorica and Danilovgrad seized six pistols, three rifles, a revolver, a starting pistol, ammunition and weapon parts.

As announced by the Police Directorate, a search of the premises used by VB found a rifle, four pistols, a revolver, a starter pistol, an air rifle, rifle optics, a pistol barrel, as well as 251 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers.

The statement states that during a search of premises used by SP, police found a hunting rifle.

"The competent prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was informed of the events, upon whose order VB and SP were deprived of their liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives," it added.

In the town of Dajbabe, the police searched the premises used by MR and found a pistol and 30 rounds of ammunition of various types and calibers.

Danilovgrad police searched the apartment and other premises used by SN and found a pistol, 10 rounds of ammunition, and three magazines. The weapons were confiscated in accordance with the Weapons Act, it added.
