Nikšić police arrested VJ (57) and VK (28) for failing to report to serve their prison sentences, the Police Directorate announced today.
The statement states that Nikšić police officers from the VJ and VK took him to the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) in Spuž.
"Police officers of the Regional Security Center 'West' - Nikšić Security Department, by taking measures and actions within their jurisdiction to identify, find and detain perpetrators of criminal offenses, located two persons wanted at the national level. Namely, by implementing measures and actions within their jurisdiction and operational activities in the field, and acting on the orders of the Basic Court in Nikšić, police officers located and deprived of liberty VJ (57) and VK (28), who were wanted for serving prison sentences, because these persons had previously failed to report to serve their sentences within the legally prescribed period," the Police Directorate said in a statement.
