The Police Directorate (UP) announced today that Nikšić police officers prevented a direct clash between fan groups on Saturday during a charity concert in Nikšić.

The statement states that no police officers were injured, that several people have been identified against whom criminal charges will be filed, that apartments and other premises used by members of fan groups have been searched, and that weapons, mobile phones, batons, ammunition... have been seized.

Fans of Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade, "Delije" and "Grobari", clashed on Saturday evening in Nikšić, RTNK reported at the time. This is reportedly why a charity concert at the Nikšić Theater was almost stopped.

"Namely, on February 8, 2025, starting at 19.00:XNUMX p.m., a humanitarian concert entitled 'For Our Kosovo and Metohija' was held in the Nikšić Theater building. While citizens and a group of people belonging to the 'Delije' fan group were entering the building, in the immediate vicinity of the theater, more precisely on Vuka Mićunovića Boulevard, a group of people presumed to belong to the 'Grobari' fan group appeared. On this occasion, flares were activated and objects were thrown from both sides, after which the quick and timely reaction of police officers prevented further conflict between the aforementioned fan groups and the disruption of public order and peace while the police controlled the dispersal of these groups. We note that on this occasion no police officers were injured, while no one reported to medical institutions for medical assistance in connection with the incident in question," the Police Directorate said in a statement.

The institution added that information was collected from several people regarding the circumstances of the event, and that other criminal and operational measures and actions were taken to identify all participants in the event, after which the prosecutor on duty at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić qualified the aforementioned event as a criminal offense of violent behavior and ordered further measures to be taken to identify and prosecute the participants in this incident.

"Up to this point, several persons have been identified against whom criminal charges will be filed after the measures and actions taken in cooperation with the competent prosecutor's office. In further activities regarding the incident in question and acting on the orders of the Basic Court in Nikšić, searches were carried out of apartments and other premises used by members of fan groups at nine locations at the residences of persons SL (26), VK (23), AC (22), PD (25), MJ (50), PK (32), NM (21), SV (29), VB (26) and A.Đ. (21)," the statement reads.

It is stated that on this occasion, mobile phones, several pieces of metal and wooden batons were found and seized from the aforementioned persons, while a starting pistol was seized from AC (22).

"Several illegally possessed weapons were seized from A.Đ. (21) - two hunting rifles, one air rifle, one pistol, 324 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, as well as one pistol with documentation that will be the subject of further administrative proceedings. In relation to the found weapons, criminal charges will be filed for the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, upon the order of the state prosecutor," the statement reads.

The Police Department claims that Nikšić police officers are undertaking intensive police and prosecutorial activities to identify and prosecute all participants in the event.
