Suspended police officer Petar Lazovic claims he did not torture in early 2020 Your Lipovin, and his colleagues, also accused of abusing that Cetinje resident, said the same thing, Nesko Jaredić i Ivan Djokovic.
The three denied their guilt in the Cetinje Basic Court, where they appeared before a judge. Marijo Ćupić are responsible for the abuse of an alleged member of the Cetinje cell of the Škalja clan.
According to the indictment of the Nikšić Basic State Prosecutor's Office, they abused Lipovina in March 2020, after his house was searched and he was arrested for money laundering.
"It is not true that I committed the act for which I am accused, I do not admit guilt and I do not accept criminal liability," said Petar Lazović in his defense.
While presenting his defense, the injured party, Lipovina, shouted "Kavač", after which he was warned to respect procedural discipline and not address the defendant.
However, when Lazović said that they never mistreated anyone, Lipovina continued:
"It's not true, it's clear how you respected the state, I can't listen to this," said Lipovina.
He then requested that the hearing be postponed, as he would seek the disqualification of the president of that court, because his request for Ćupić not to act in that case was denied.
He was removed from the courtroom after saying that "this is a corrupt case" in which "the verdict has already been rendered"...
Lazović said that he would not answer anyone's questions except those of his defense attorney, which he did, claiming that he did not even transport Lipovina from Cetinje to Podgorica.
"I do not admit guilt... This entire indictment is fabricated and fabricated. This never happened, and the only contact we had with the injured party here was during the search of his house, where Petar, I and Ivan Đoković were present, where we guarded him so that he would not escape. Before the search was over, our colleagues told us that we were free, so the injured party never got into the vehicle with us, he was not able to sit with us, and his lawyer was there who saw that he did not even communicate with us," the second defendant, Jaredić, told the judge.
He explained that during the search they only had visual contact with Lipovina, because the man from Cetinje behaved correctly and did not try to escape.
Djokovic also did not admit guilt, emphasizing that everything he is accused of is a lie and that the story was fabricated to get him suspended and make him an easier target for liquidation.
"I don't even know what actions I'm being charged with, the only thing I witnessed was the search of Sava Lipovina's family home and that's it. The only thing I can say is that this is a fabricated story to harm us. The motive is clear, in my opinion, to suspend us as police officers and that I would be an easier target to implement the plan they had, for which there is already a trial, and I'm referring to the organized criminal group to which Lipovina Savo belongs, which planned my liquidation and for which the trial is being conducted before the Higher Court in Podgorica," he said.
He told the judge that he was a single parent and that after this he didn't know how to drive his child in a car.
The trial was postponed at the request of the injured party, Lipovina, who asked to testify in the presence of his legal representative.
Lipovina previously claimed that he was tortured in March 2020, the same day he was arrested for tax evasion.
He said that at that time, police searched his house in Cetinje, and that Lazović was among them: "Whom I have known for a long time and who has harassed me my whole life."
He claimed that Lazović and Đoković were standing next to him at the time, and that Lazović had already threatened him: "In other words, when we leave for Podgorica, you'll see how much of a thug you are," and that after the search, he was placed in the back seat of a dark-colored BMW X5, that Lazović sat next to him, and that Đoković and two other police officers got into the car.
"They all harassed me mentally, said that I should testify for them, as they tell me, that they will harass my sister... While we were driving, the policeman who was sitting next to me punched me twice in the stomach area, and also the driver hit me twice... by doing a half turn and hitting me while i was sitting in the middle of the back seat. On one part of the road, before Podgorica, in the town of Carev laz, the driver stopped, turned so that the vehicle could not be seen from the road... When we stopped... all the police officers who were in the vehicle, after brought out, hit by everyone slapping me on the face. I was strapped in as I was ushered into this official vehicle. All the policemen hit me all over my body with open fists, one of them punched me two or three times in the stomach area, more precisely, Lazović punched me in the stomach area".
He explained that they harassed him for about 10 to 15 minutes at that extension, until they realized that he would not agree to testify about something he claims he knows nothing about.
