Petar Mujović, a resident of Nikšić, will be tried for the crime of attempted aggravated murder, committed against the now deceased Jovan Vukotić.
This was decided by the panel of the Higher Court in Podgorica, which confirmed the direct indictment Kt-S No. 312/24, dated December 30 last year, which the Special State Prosecutor's Office filed against the accused Mujović.
The SDT announced that the indictment was filed due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that the accused, as a member of the criminal organization of the defendant Radoje Zvicer, whose members also include Ljubo Milović, Petar Lazović, Radoje Živković, Nikola Spasojević, Slobodan Kašćelan, Milan Vujotić, DR, Radovan Mujović, NP and RP
"Against whom indictments have already been brought by this prosecution, for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and other criminal offenses and which have been confirmed and entered into legal force".
Mujović is accused of implementing Zvicer's criminal plan, as well as the plan of Kašćelan and Vujotić:
"Out of ruthless revenge, base motives - intolerance and hatred, and in order to establish the supremacy of their criminal organization, on October 21, 2020, in Kotor, he attempted to deprive the life of one of the organizers of the opposing criminal organization, the damaged JV, by waiting for him, armed with a pistol with a mechanically destroyed factory number, with 15 bullets and a bullet in the barrel, ready to fire, in front of the building of the Police Directorate of the Kotor Security Department, in order to deprive him of his life at a convenient moment, when he was brought in by police officers, but he was prevented from completing the criminal offense because the police officers deprived him of his liberty," the SDT announced.
They explain that Mujović was found guilty of the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosives by a final verdict of the Basic Court in Kotor, due to the same life event, and sentenced to five months in prison, and was given the security measure of confiscating the pistol as a means of committing the criminal offense:
"While in relation to the organizer of the criminal organization, the defendant RZ, and the members - the defendants SK and MV, as co-perpetrators of the criminal offense, in the procedure for reviewing the justification and legality of the indictment of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, the criminal proceedings were unlawfully suspended in that part, by the decisions of the Higher Court in Podgorica, Kvso No. 32/23 and the Court of Appeal of Montenegro Kvsž No. 329/23, dated October 9 and November 22, 2023, respectively, and the Supreme Court of Montenegro, by judgment Kzz No. 1/2024, dated July 2 last year, adopted the request for protection of the legality of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro and determined that the decisions of the Higher and Appellate Courts violated the law in favor of the defendants. The defendant PM is in custody at the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions in another criminal case," said the prosecutor's office headed by Vladimir Novović.
