Former company director of the Regional Water Supply Company of the Montenegrin Coast Borislav Ivanković reacted to the article "Stimuli and various aids under scrutiny: The Kotor Prosecutor's Office is investigating the work of the Regional Water Supply Company", which was published yesterday on the Vijesti portal.
We transmit his response in full:
"First of all, I remind you that you broke the rule - that the other side be heard, because the authors of the text did not contact me before publishing.
The text is full of false information in order to harm me and several employees and prevent proof of my illegal dismissal.
I have awarded financial assistance for the death of a family member, for the treatment of an employee, the birth of a child, and the like to every employee who is entitled to it, with previously obtained documentation based on the Collective Agreement and other applicable regulations.
When it comes to variables and salary supplements in the disputed period, they were paid in accordance with the Collective Agreement, the Sectoral Collective Agreement, the Regulation on Salaries and Other Income, to employees who achieved notable results and who worked multiple jobs.
From November 2023 to the end of October 2024, out of the total fund of paid net salaries, which amounted to 1.311.462,83 euros, 23.229,82 euros were paid for variables, or 1,76% of the total net salary.
When it comes to overtime hours for 2024, each hour worked village was paid based on the submitted report. 14.273,30 euros or 1,08% of the total fund of paid net salaries of 1.311.462,83 euros was paid, which was not the case before. For this reason, the majority of employees are now suing the Company for damages for the period from 2010 to July 2022. The possible amount of damages is several hundred thousand euros, depending on the outcome of the dispute and the accrued interest.
I would like to point out that in 2024, by November 30, the Regional Water Supply Company achieved a record result, i.e. a net profit of 1.620.000 euros, which is not only due to me, but also to all employees, so at the time of my shift, I left 3.150.000,00 euros in the account.
It is very important to emphasize that none of the employees received the incentive in advance and continuously for more than two months. It could only be realized for the period that the employee achieved before the variable payment through their previous efforts and attitude towards work.
Also, no one received the maximum 50% incentive, but up to 20% on a monthly basis. Financial assistance was never paid in the maximum amount, while overtime was paid at the legally prescribed level. As a director, I always took care of equality and economy.
When it comes to working groups, it is true that I formed a couple of them in accordance with the law with the aim of monitoring the pipeline construction project worth around 9 million euros, and they did their job properly and received compensation for it that was no more than 150 euros.
Bringing the case of Jelena Perović into context is unprofessional and unfounded, because during my term as executive director I never used my official card for a period of 28 months of work, I did not have a driver, and I paid for my accommodation in Budva myself.
As the director of the company, I did not pay myself a single cent in incentives, nor did I calculate or make any payments for overtime hours worked for the entire period of my work.
"Therefore, I call on the SDT and DRI, as well as the Economic Crimes Unit, to investigate the Company's operations, especially the period from the end of November 2024 to the present, due to alleged aid payments in the amount of several thousand euros, especially to sports clubs on the coast," Ivankvić said.
