Strahinja Koprivica (32) was unemployed at the time he founded a private company, but despite this, he repeatedly "loaned" enormous sums of money to that company, once around 100.000 euros.

This was stated by the Podgorica Higher Court, deciding on the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to temporarily block the property of the Nikšić resident suspected of creating a criminal organization and smuggling drugs and cigarettes.

The court explained that, among other things, they were checking the lifestyle - the relationship between the income and assets of the family members.

"On October 24, 2024, the Special State Prosecutor's Office issued an order against the defendants Koprivica Strahinja et al., to initiate a financial investigation with the aim of collecting data and evidence on the property, legal income and living expenses of the owners, which are necessary for the permanent seizure of property gains, namely data and evidence on the property or legal income of the owners after deducting taxes and other duties that have been paid, as well as the relationship between the income and property of the owners, data and evidence on property that has been transferred to third parties or has passed to a legal successor, as well as the method of acquiring and transferring property, and other data and evidence that are important for the seizure of property gains acquired through criminal activity," explained High Court Judge Suzana Mugoša.

The 11-year-old, they explain, founded the company "K Invest Group" on February 2022, 18, and served as its executive director until November XNUMX of that year, when he formally transferred ownership and management to his father, retired police officer Duško Koprivica. Investigators suspect that this was done to conceal actual ownership.

Since the middle of the following year, Strahinja Koprivica has been paying "loans" into the company's account, and the fact that he is unemployed clearly indicates that the money was obtained through criminal activity, according to the High Court documents.

"From the information collected so far, it follows that the defendant Strahinja Koprivica repeatedly made cash payments to the account of the company 'K Invest', namely on July 31, 2023 in the amount of 100.000,00 euros, on November 28, 2023 in the amount of 22.000,00 euros, on June 26, 2024 in the amount of 9.900,00 euros and on June 28, 2024 in the amount of 9.500,00 euros, that the basis for the payments was a loan, which, when combined with the facts established by examining the bank accounts held in the name of the defendant Koprivica Strahinja, who is an unemployed person, clearly indicates that the money was obtained through criminal activity, and that the money was used by the legal entity 'K Invest' DOO to carry out its activities," explained Judge Mugoša.

She also states that during the financial investigation and financial survey, data was collected showing that Duško Koprivica became the founder of that company on November 18, 2022, to the extent of 100 percent, as well as the executive director and authorized representative, all after he became a beneficiary of an old-age pension on January 2 of that year:

"Which also points to the conclusion that the real owner of the company "K Invest Group' is still the defendant Koprivica Strahinja."

Evidence and data have been obtained that indicate the existence of a reasonable suspicion that the defendant Koprivica Strahinja is the actual owner of the real estate in question, which is formally registered to the legal entity 'K Invest group', as well as to the person Koprivica Nemanja, and which is reasonably suspected to have been acquired through criminal activity by the defendant Koprivica Strahinja"...

The judge pointed out that the records of the Tax Administration and the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund show that Strahinja's wife, Una Koprivica, is also not employed and has no recorded income:

"Therefore, there is a reasonable suspicion that the real estate registered with the Real Estate Administration originates from the criminal activities of the defendant Koprivica Strahinja."

"Also, taking into account the data that the prosecution currently has at its disposal, namely data from the records of the Tax Administration and the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, there is a reasonable suspicion that the real estate registered with other family members of the defendant Koprivica Strahinja, namely the real estate registered with the defendant's brother, Koprivica Nemanja, sister Roganović Bojana and mother Koprivica Radosava, were also acquired from money originating from criminal activity, because there is an obvious disproportion between their legal income and property, and taking into account that these are persons who do not earn regular monthly income. in acquired criminal activity, and which money served the legal entity 'K Invest' to carry out its activities," Judge Mugoša's decision reads.

She also noted that there is no information on the origin of the 15.700 euros found during the search of the premises used by Strahinja Koprivica, but that it is clear that the value of the luxury vehicles and watches seized during the search is "obviously disproportionate to the lawful income of the defendant Koprivica Strahinja and his family members."

For the same reason, 125.393,90 euros in Nemanja Koprivica's CKB account were also blocked:

"Which funds were recorded as originating from the sale of real estate in the amount of 140.000,00 euros, because Koprivica Nemanja could not have had legal sources of income to purchase the real estate that he later sold, bearing in mind that he is an unemployed person," the judge explains.

She also states that on October 23rd last year, officers from the Special Police Department searched several properties in Žabljak, registered to Strahinja's brother Nemanja Koprivica (29) and the company "K Invest Group", which is used by the thirty-two-year-old.

"On that occasion, evidence and data were obtained that indicate the existence of a reasonable suspicion that the defendant Koprivica Strahinja is the actual owner of the real estate in question, which is formally registered to the legal entity 'K Invest group', as well as to the person Koprivica Nemanja, and which is reasonably suspected to have been acquired through criminal activity by the defendant Koprivica Strahinja, that is, it follows that they originate from material benefits acquired through the commission of criminal offenses, and that the false presentation of facts about actual ownership was intended to conceal the origin of the property," the ruling states.
