Podgorica police officers processed five people and filed three criminal and one misdemeanor charges for drug abuse, the Police Directorate announced.
It is stated that the police have controlled 24 people in the last 13 hours, as part of a planned action to detect and suppress criminal offenses in the field of drug abuse.
The Police Directorate said that, during a check on PV (38), they found a joint and filed a misdemeanor charge against him pursuant to the Drug Abuse Prevention Act.
As stated in the statement, during the checks of two more people, handmade cigarettes with marijuana were found.
"At the order of the acting prosecutor and after conducting a criminal investigation, police officers filed a criminal complaint against M.Đ. (41) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of enabling others to consume narcotic drugs, while a misdemeanor complaint under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse was filed against PG (22)," the statement said.
The police said that they also checked DV (44), who had a handmade cigarette with a plant substance resembling marijuana.
It is stated that the prosecutor will subsequently make a statement regarding the qualification of the offense in this case.
"Police officers have filed a criminal complaint against JS (45) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of facilitating the consumption of narcotics, to the detriment of two people," the police statement said.
They said that two hand-made cigarettes containing marijuana and one PVC wrapper containing a dark green vegetable substance similar to marijuana were found at JS's place.
"Police officers have also filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office against DK (23) on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs by giving other persons the narcotic drug marijuana for consumption," the police statement said.
