A group of citizens of Nikšić, the family and friends of the murdered Ljubiša Mrdak, will organize a protest in front of the prosecutor's office in Podgorica tomorrow, March 7, dissatisfied with the acquittal of the suspects in the murder and robbery of the post office that occurred on October 20, 2021.
The protest will begin at 12 noon, and the first protest gathering was in Nikšić on February 27, two days after the acquittal.
"They have until Friday, both the one who heads the prosecution and the one who heads the court, to show some cheek and resign over this crime of crimes," said Petar Vuković, the best man of the murdered Mrdak, from the rally in Nikšić.

Mitar Knežević, Stojan Albijanić, Nemanja Miljković, Petar Zolak, Srđan Svjetlanović, David Banjac and Stefan Regojević were, due to lack of evidence, as the judge said, acquitted of charges for the post office robbery in which Mrdak, who was a security guard and tried to protect money intended for pension payments, was killed.
The judge said that the court was brought before a fait accompli and that because of "this indictment, the court had to take on the role of an investigative body."
The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica announced that it will appeal this verdict.
Minister of Justice Bojan Božović announced that he understands the concerns of citizens and that according to his knowledge and consultations with the Supreme State Prosecutor and the President of the Supreme Court, the proceedings will likely continue.
The day after the protest in Nikšić, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met with the wife, son and brother of the murdered Mrdak and then announced that for them the case of the murder of Ljubiša Mrdak was not over and that justice must be served.
The Prime Minister, in a post on the social network X, stated that they respect the independence of the judiciary, but that "we cannot calmly observe constant, obvious injustices."
"Measures such as vetting in the judiciary are becoming more and more certain if the situation does not change very soon, because this kind of injustice is unbearable! The Mrdak family has the full support of the 44th Government, the UP and myself personally in their fight for the truth," Spajić stressed.
