Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović has not extended the mandate of the acting director of the police - Border Police Sector, Milutin Vasiljević, "Vijesti" has learned.

Instead of Vasiljević, the acting mandate was entrusted to Dejan Bojić, a long-time head of the border police, who will lead that sector of the Police Directorate for the next six months.

The six-month mandate was again extended to the Assistant Director for the General Jurisdiction Police Sector, Dragan Gorović, who had held that position since the summer of 2021.

Vasiljević will be an advisor to the police director for border and cross-border cooperation issues.

Vasiljević, who served as Assistant Director of the Border Police Sector for more than a year, was one of the candidates for Acting Director of the Border Police Department last year when he applied for the public call from the Ministry of the Interior.

In the Police Administration system, the acting mandate was entrusted before the New Year to the Assistant Director of the Sector for the Security of Persons and Facilities, Miloš Peković, while Velimir Furtula was appointed Head of the Sector for the Fight against Crime.

Only Aleksandar Radović, Assistant Director of the Financial Intelligence Sector, has a full mandate in that position.
