Baranin Božidar Tomašević was killed by his fellow citizen Stefan Janković, wrote in a group chat the leaders of the Kavač clan, as well as a high-ranking member of the Škaljari gang Mile Radulović Kapetan.
The head of the Kavčani gang, Radoje Zvicer, was checking how much they could really trust their prisoner and promising him that he would stay alive if he gave them accurate information about the movements and businesses of a rival criminal group.
He and his associates previously commented that they had received little from him, because he pretended not to know anything, and then said that they were asking the Captain about the murder in 2016, even though they knew that it was done by Janković, aka Jarić.
"Let them ask him who killed Bob... Ask him, and we know it was Jarić (Stefan Janković)," writes Kotorin on October 15, 2020.
Belgrade resident Veljko Belivuk, who was in the room with the kidnapped Skalja resident at that moment, says that Radulović asked "which Bob"...
"Bobo Tomašević," Zvicer replies.
"He says Stefan killed him," Belivuk replies.
"Well, we're looking for Stefan, Milee... bring us Stefan," Milan Vujotić Amići tells him.
Kavčani questioned Radulović in mid-October 2020, four years after Tomašević was killed on August 6, 2016 in Bar, in a parking lot less than a hundred meters from the police station in the center of that port city.
Their correspondence is part of the material that Europol had previously provided to Montenegrin investigators, but the Higher State Prosecutor's Office, which is handling the case, was not informed about it.
The prosecutor's office told Vijesti that, following the journalist's questions, they would take measures and actions to obtain that communication.
"This prosecutor's office is not aware of the SKY communications that point to specific individuals as perpetrators of this criminal offense, so in the further course of the proceedings, and taking into account the content of your questions, measures and actions will be taken to obtain and analyze these types of communications," the Podgorica State Prosecutor's Office responded.
Vijesti asked the prosecutor's office, among other things, whether they were aware of the fact that the murder of Božidar Tomašević was mentioned in Sky Communications and that some members of the so-called Kavački, but also Škaljarski clan, clearly wrote that the direct perpetrator of the murder was Baranin Stefan Janković, a member of the Škaljarski clan organized crime group, and if so, whether these allegations were verified and in what way, or what specifically was done to verify this information and, possibly, charge Janković with that crime.
Responding to some questions from the prosecution led by Lepa Medenica, they explained that everything they have undertaken so far has not yielded results in the investigation into the murder of Tomašević.
"The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica has opened a case against an unidentified perpetrator of the criminal offense of murder, committed to the detriment of BT, in which case numerous actions have been taken to shed light on the incident in question and identify the perpetrator of the criminal offense in question, which have not yielded results so far, so the prosecutor's office has urged the Bar Central Police Department to take measures and actions within its jurisdiction in order to discover the perpetrator of the criminal offense."
The Special State Prosecutor's Office, to which Vijesti also sent questions, explained that due to the protection of proceedings, they cannot speak about the undertaken and planned evidentiary actions.
Six years after Tomašević was liquidated in Bar, and a year and a half after the "interrogation" of the General, the now deceased member of the Bar cell of the Škalja clan, Edmond Mustafa, was allegedly ready to talk about the crime in the port city.
In April 2022, he claimed that Tomašević and 10 other people were killed by members of the criminal organization to which he belonged.
Mustafa then published a list of those killed and a list of members of the Skaljar clan on a social network, from the profile dolazi_lično_djavo_po_svoje, and then announced that he would announce who committed and who paid for the murders.
He then replied to the Vijesti journalist that he would provide information about everything in a timely manner.
The SDT then responded to Vijesti that, in relation to all information about the possible commission of a criminal offense within the jurisdiction of that prosecutor's office, they are taking all legally prescribed measures and actions in order to verify them, but that due to the protection of the interests of the ongoing proceedings, they cannot disclose details about the investigation into the murders of Tomašević, Armin Muša Osmanagić, Andrija Mrdak, Srđan Vlahović, Željko Vukoslavčević, Ivan Laban, Slobodan Šaranović, Niko Roganović, Miloš Šaković, Marko Jovanović, Marko Sjekloća and Jovan Klisić.
Two days ago, the prosecutor's office, headed by Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović, answered questions about whether the investigation of these murders was within their jurisdiction, but also whether they were aware that the murder of Tomašević was mentioned in Sky Communications, where it clearly states that the direct perpetrator was Janković, and said:
"The actual jurisdiction of the Special State Prosecutor's Office includes the criminal offenses of murder and aggravated murder for which, based on the collected evidence, data and information, there is a reasonable suspicion that they were committed as criminal offenses of organized crime, while the status of cases and proceedings, or the undertaken and planned evidentiary actions in cases, cannot be discussed, in order to protect the interests of the proceedings and the purpose of undertaking the planned evidentiary actions," responded special prosecutor and spokesperson for the SDT, Vukas Radonjić.
Kidnapping, then murder
Damir Hodžić, a native of Škalja, and his son-in-law Adis Spahić, who had no criminal record, were killed on October 14, 2020 in Spuž.
A high-ranking member of that clan, Mile Radulović (Captain/General), was kidnapped that day and was executed after two months of monstrous abuse and extortion of information about the Skaljarci.
According to the SDT, the three of them were lured into a trap by a mercenary from Kavča, Ratko Živković, known as Zemo.
According to the Special State Prosecutor's Office, Radulović's body was burned in Lovćen.
This was done in December 2020 by Vladimir Vučković from Novalja, who took car tires and charcoal to Lovćen, and together with Miloš Radonjić prepared a bonfire on which, after the liquidation, they burned the skáljarča.
According to SDT documents, on December 21, 2020, members of the Kavac clan suffocated the skalar with an electric extension cable, and then took his body to Lovćen and burned it on a pyre.
The SDT identifies Petar Đurović and Radonjić, who is on the run, as the direct perpetrators of the murder, and claims that Miloš Radonjić and Vladimir Vučković burned his body. It was Nenad Neno Kaluđerović from Cetinje who advised them to burn Slobodan Kašćelan's body at the stake.
Prosecutors claim that the members of Zvicer's criminal organization were Milan Vujotic, Slobodan Kašćelan, Nenad Kaluđerović, Veljko Belivuk, Marko Miljković, Stevan Kraljević, Vladimir Vučković, Radoje Živković, Dragan Knežević, Ratko Živković, Nebojša Janković, Darko Prelević, Davor Perović, Blagoje Gašić, Dejan Gašić, Nikša Perović, Miloš Radonjić, Petar Đurović, Rade Garović, Mersudin Čalaković, Marko Kilibarda, Aleksandar Paunović, Nikola Spasojević, Radovan Mujović, Milan Knežević, Aleksandar Dragićević, Zoran Kažić, Aleksandar Ljutiović, Borko Bešović and Bojan Bešović.
Investigations without progress
The investigations into the murders of Tomašević, as well as Ivan Laban and Željko Vukoslavčević, have made no progress.
During the first months of the investigation, the police and prosecutor's office did not link these liquidations to the war between Montenegrin criminal clans.
All three were killed in Bar - Tomašević, who lived in Novi Sad, was killed on August 6, 2016, in a parking lot less than 100 meters from the police station in the center of that port city.
Vukoslavčević was liquidated in the night between September 7 and 8, 2016 in Bar, in front of the entrance of the building where he lived. The assailant fired at least two bullets into his back, then approached him, fired at least three more into Baranin's chest, and fled on a motorcycle, on which a helper was most likely waiting for him.
Ivan Laban, a resident of Murin, was killed on the last day of October of the same year in front of the Topolica Sports Center in Bar. He was killed while leaving the parking lot of the sports center in a “Citroen C4” (PL AF 316). He was the nephew of Milovan Đukić, who was killed in Podgorica in October 2014. Đukić was known in criminal circles from the time of the wars in the former Yugoslavia, when he was very close to Arkan (Arkan’s former “tiger”).
"Boba must be avenged"
A Kavčanin who participated in the investigation of Radulović, a Pljevljak who wrote from the Sky account Q02NVX, said that the Captain must know who was killing in Bar.
At the same time, Igor Božović demanded that Radulović say who killed Ivan Laban.
"Who killed Slavko Peković?" asked Pljevljak, and Belivuk told them what Radulović replied:
"Labana doesn't know who killed him. He knows about Slavko, but he doesn't know who or why."
"Slavko was killed just for commenting. Bob needs to be avenged. He knows, he knows well," Pljevljak wrote.
Zvicer then states that Radulović knows all this:
"He knows all that, he killed Šaranović and until yesterday he said they killed everyone. Who set up Vila?", asked the Kotor resident.
