Former Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Janko Odović said that he does not expect to be arrested in the investigation in which he is still being questioned today, but that he expects someone else to be held accountable.
"I expect someone to be held accountable, I don't know if they will be arrested, because arrests achieve nothing," Odović said after his interrogation at the Special Police Department (SPO), answering a journalist's question about whether he expects someone from the department he headed to be held accountable, if not him.
He claimed that he was also questioned today in his capacity as a citizen.
Odović was questioned by the SPO last week, and he told reporters at the time that he had been summoned in a case related to one of the buildings in Budva.
"And the issue that was causing disputes was whether the building permit was issued in accordance with the law," Odović told reporters that day.
He then said that the construction permit for that building was issued on the last, or rather the penultimate, day of his term.
"Which I did not sign, nor was I authorized to sign, but someone else. I think it is in the interest of all citizens to check whether the legal procedure was followed," Odović said earlier.
