Cetinje police arrested Đ.B. (48) on suspicion of committing a crime - domestic violence or violence within a family. They seized weapons and ammunition from him.
The Police Directorate announced that, "taking preventive measures and actions aimed at preventing possible consequences of domestic violence," Cetinje police officers acted upon the victim's report of March 15 and arrested Đ.B. pursuant to the prosecutor's order.
"Taking preventive measures, on the same day, police officers searched the apartment and other premises used by the named person and on that occasion found and seized three hunting rifles and one pistol, 282 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers, as well as boxes of shotgun shells and gunpowder," the statement reads.
By order of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje, the weapon was temporarily seized in order to initiate appropriate administrative proceedings, while a misdemeanor charge will be filed against Đ.B. pursuant to the Law on Weapons.
