Cetinje police arrested an Albanian citizen, AD (58), on suspicion of burglarizing two family homes and stealing alcohol, work equipment, and technical devices.

Citizens reported to the police that houses in the village of Meterizi had been broken into and that a person they suspected of being the perpetrator was found near one of them.

"Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found one of the injured homeowners and AD (58), a citizen of the Republic of Albania, whose blood alcohol concentration was determined to be 1.78 g/kg. The criminal investigation indicates suspicion that AD committed two criminal offenses of aggravated theft by breaking the doors and windows of two houses located in the immediate vicinity, from which he stole alcohol, work equipment and technical devices," the Police Directorate announced.

The stolen items were found and returned.

"AD was deprived of his liberty by order of the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Cetinje and he was brought before the competent prosecutor with a criminal complaint, on suspicion of having committed the aforementioned criminal offenses," the statement reads.
