The Mojkovac police announced that they have solved the case of forest theft.
"The police have filed a special report with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje against Nebojša Medojević, on suspicion of committing theft to the detriment of Milan Smolović," Vijesti learned from sources close to the Police Directorate.
A special report was filed as a supplement to the criminal complaint against an unidentified person.
According to the criminal complaint, Medojević committed the crime in January in the town of Prošćenje, and is suspected of having cut down 10 beech trees in the amount of about eight cubic meters without proper documentation, after which he cut down three cubic meters and transported them to his house, while he pulled the remaining trees out of the forest to widen the road, from where he planned to transport them.
That amount was temporarily taken away from him.
A forestry expert determined that the quantity involved was 8,10 cubic meters and the damage caused to the individual amounted to 350 euros.
