Police officers arrested 15 drivers in Kotor, Tivat, Bar and Ulcinj and issued 371 misdemeanor warrants for committing violations under the Road Traffic Safety Law.
The Police Directorate announced that traffic police officers conducted several actions aimed at controlling traffic participants in these cities from Wednesday to yesterday.
It is stated that the Kotor police checked 102 drivers, issued 76 misdemeanor warrants and filed 12 misdemeanor reports.
"MM (1,41) from Bijelo Polje was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of 38 per mille," the statement said.
It is added that MM was fined 420 euros.
Police officers also arrested AV (29) from Kotor, who was driving under the influence of cocaine and marijuana.
"The magistrate sentenced him to 15 days in prison," the statement said.
It is added that, due to unauthorized overtaking on the Tivat-Kotor main road, in the Vrmac tunnel, a Turkish citizen KOE was also arrested.
"The magistrate imposed a fine of 420 euros on him," the police said.
As stated in the statement, as part of the "Speed" and "Tachograph" actions, 58 misdemeanor warrants were issued and six misdemeanor reports were filed.
As announced, the Tivat police issued 54 misdemeanor warrants and filed five misdemeanor reports as part of the campaigns "Let it ring - life is more important", "Speed" and "Belt", as well as on the basis of other violations from the Traffic Safety Law.
The Police Directorate's statement states that police officers in Bar carried out a local action of increased control of traffic participants and two national actions - "Let the bell ring - life is more important" and "Speed".
"As part of which they issued 111 misdemeanor warrants, filed 14 misdemeanor reports and arrested six drivers - two for driving under the influence of drugs, two for driving under the influence of alcohol and two for driving at a speed greater than 50 kilometers per hour (km/h) above the maximum speed limit in a populated area," the statement said.
Ulcinj police officers, as part of the "Psychoactive Substances" operation, arrested six drivers, including two persons of operational interest.
As announced by the Police Directorate, persons of operational interest AD (26) and GS (36) were arrested, and the misdemeanor judge sentenced them to 30 days in prison each.
"72 misdemeanor warrants were issued and eight misdemeanor reports were filed, of which two were against drivers who were caught driving while under a driving ban," the statement said.
