Joveta Bubanja (31) from Bjelopolje was sentenced to three months in prison by the Basic Court in Bjelopolje for the criminal offense of obstructing an official in the performance of his official duty.
According to the indictment, on July 26 last year, JB forcibly prevented Bijelo Polje police officers from the Security Department of the DZ and VJ from exercising their powers.
When the police officers told him that he had to be arrested, the defendant put the vehicle in drive, after which the police officers ordered him to stop the vehicle, grabbing his left arm through the open car door.
However, he did not stop, but instead hit police officer VJ with the rear of his vehicle, who fell to the asphalt and sustained minor injuries, and then hit the police officer with the rear of his vehicle.
In addition to the prison sentence, JB is required to pay procedural costs in the amount of 605 euros.
