Petranović and others ordered into custody

The Higher Court in Podgorica ordered detention of up to 30 days for Vesko Petranović, Dejan Jokić, Dražen Vukadinović, Branko Čelić, Davor Lukačević and Marko Đurišić.

"By the decision of the investigating judge of this court, the defendants VP, DJ, D,V, DV, B.Č, DL and M.Đ. were ordered to be detained, in relation to the defendants VP, JD, DV, DV, B.Č, DL and M.Đ. on the grounds for detention under Article 175, paragraph 1, item 1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, against the defendant VP and on the grounds for detention under Article 175, paragraph 1, item 4 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and against the defendant DV and on the grounds for detention under Article 175, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Criminal Procedure Code," the Higher Court told "Vijesti".

In addition to the owner of the "Tehnomax" company, Vesko Petranović, members of the Special Police Department arrested six more people two days ago, including three police officers - Vukadinović, Lukačević and Đurišić.

The SPO arrested them on the order and in coordination with the Special State Prosecutor's Office, due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and the continued criminal offense of smuggling.

They are suspected of being involved in the illegal sale and distribution of tobacco products - cigarettes.
