Stojanović was not present at the verdict, only his defense attorney, Miroslav Adžić, was present.

The court lifted the ban on Stojanović from leaving his apartment, but replaced it with a new measure requiring him to report to the police in Podgorica on the 1st and 15th of every month. The court imposed a ban on him from leaving Podgorica.

During the court proceedings, Stojanović pleaded guilty to the criminal offense of abuse of official position, in connection with the smuggling of cigarettes found in the truck. He said at the time that he was remorseful.

Defendant Stojanović pleaded not guilty to illegal possession of a gun.
