In searches at seven locations in Podgorica and Danilovgrad, two hunting rifles, a crossbow, an air rifle, ammunition, explosives and lashing equipment were seized, while BP was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
As announced, seven people were checked, at two locations in Danilovgrad and five in the capital.
"Acting on a court order, the Danilovgrad police, during a search of the operationally interesting person RB, found and seized a Crossbow crossbow, without a serial number, and a Norica air rifle. After the expert examinations, the qualification of the crime will follow. During a search of the apartment and other premises of the person BP from Danilovgrad, a Crvena Zastava hunting rifle, a Zastava M98 hunting carbine and 76 pieces of related ammunition of various calibers in illegal possession were found and seized, as well as seven packages of Vitezit 20 explosives," the statement reads.

It is added that the explosives were removed from the scene by officers of the Protection and Rescue Directorate.
"Officers of the Podgorica Security Department conducted searches at five locations at the residence of person MM, and persons of operational interest BL, JV, MV and JD. A long-bladed weapon and a pair of lashing devices were seized from BL," the statement said.
"The Police Directorate continues to implement intensified repressive activities in the fight against all forms of illegal activity, combating violence and crime, as well as confiscating weapons, ammunition and explosives in illegal possession, with the aim of increasing collective security and protecting the lives of citizens," the UP said.
