VN (21) from Nikšić was arrested on suspicion of stealing cables from a company in that city.
An employee of that company reported to the police that a large quantity of electrical and telecommunications cables, worth around 800 euros, had been stolen from the company premises.
"VN is suspected of committing the aforementioned crime by driving a vehicle and entering the parking lot of the aforementioned company during working hours and, taking advantage of the employees' inattention, stealing cables from the premises, and then driving away from the scene," the Police Directorate announced.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić ordered the suspect to be detained for up to 72 hours in police custody. He was brought before the prosecutor with a criminal complaint, on suspicion of committing a criminal offense - theft.
The police in Šavnik have filed criminal charges against SM (38) and NZ (39) from Žabljak, on suspicion of stealing gravel.
Citizens reported to the police that gravel is being exploited on the Šavnik-Žabljak main road, on the section of the road in the town of Ivica.
"Upon arriving at the scene, police officers found four individuals using two off-road vehicles and a construction machine - an excavator - exploiting and loading gravel, with the intention of disposing of it, for the purpose of obtaining unlawful material gain," the statement reads.
The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Pljevlja has ordered the suspension of gravel exploitation works until the necessary documentation for carrying out these works is submitted.
"After conducting a criminal investigation and collecting information from several individuals, in coordination with the competent prosecutor's office, criminal charges were filed against SM (38) and NZ (39) from Žabljak on suspicion of committing the crime of theft," the police announced.
