Officers from the South and West regional centers searched facilities used by 18 individuals, including persons of operational interest and members of organized crime groups.
The Police Directorate announced that this action was carried out as a continuation of regional planned intensified measures and activities against persons of operational interest and those connected to them, as well as persons suspected of illegally possessing firearms, ammunition and explosives.
According to information from Vijesti, the police searched Velizar Gardašević and Milan Vujačić in Bar, Boris Biskupović in Tivat, and Vladimir Božović, the son of a high-ranking member of the Kavač clan, Igor Božović, in Kotor.

The Police Department announced that targeted searches were carried out at 17 locations - in Ulcinj, Bar, Kotor, Tivat, Herceg Novi, Budva, Plužine and Pljevlja.
"On that occasion, 18 people were checked, five hunting rifles, a pistol, two starter pistols, an air rifle, ammunition and one luxury vehicle were found and seized," the UP said.
They pointed out that a search was conducted at one location within the jurisdiction of the Ulcinj Security Department.
"Acting on a court order, the Ulcinj police, by searching the house and vehicles used by JM (29) and VM (20), found and, for preventive reasons, confiscated a Baikal hunting rifle, a Zastava hunting carbine, a Norica air rifle, 529 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers, a package of gunpowder and two packages of cartridge shot."
Explaining that the two men from Bar who were searched were persons of operational interest, they pointed out that they found a pistol, two hunting rifles, a hunting carbine and a starter pistol on Vujačić's person.
"The aforementioned weapon was seized in order to initiate appropriate administrative proceedings."
The Police Department pointed out that officers from the Kotor Security Department conducted searches at two locations "at members of an organized crime group VB", and that they conducted searches at three locations in Budva, at persons close to an organized crime group.
"While officers from the Tivat Security Department conducted a search at BB's home, who is listed as a person close to an organized crime group. Officers from the Herceg Novi Security Department conducted searches at two locations," the police statement reads.
The Police Department announced that officers from the West Regional Security Center conducted searches at five locations.
"Acting on the order of the Basic Court in Nikšić, officers of the Plužine Police Station found a Zoraki starter pistol and 38 pieces of ammunition with P.Ć. (49) and issued him a misdemeanor warrant for not possessing the appropriate documentation. Police officers of the Pljevlja Security Department conducted a search at three locations and on that occasion seized a VW Golf 32 from a person of operational interest, NL (7), for further checks."
The security institution announced that they are continuing to implement intensified repressive activities in the fight against all forms of illegal activity, combating violence and crime, as well as confiscating weapons, ammunition and explosives in illegal possession, with the aim of increasing collective security and protecting the lives of citizens.
