The decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica confirmed the indictment filed by the Higher State Prosecutor's Office against Zoran Vukčević for attempted murder of a police officer Mica Radovic.
The indictment of the state prosecutor Snežane Sišević It was presented that the defendant, who had previously been convicted, on March 1, 2024, at around 20,47:XNUMX p.m., in a so-called concrete mixer truck, intentionally attempted to take the life of a police officer while performing his official duty.
"While he was in the detention facilities of the Podgorica Security Department, he asked the injured police officer MR to go to the toilet, who allowed him to do so. While the injured police officer had his back turned to him, the defendant hit him in the head with a ceramic toilet lid, causing him serious bodily injury in the form of a contusion in the right half of the occipital region, followed by a linear fracture of the occipital bone, contusion of the cerebellum and the accumulation of a small amount of blood under the dura mater," the prosecution's document states.
The indictment adds that the defendant Vukčević then pushed the police officer away and hit him several times with the door of the room they were in, causing injuries to the injured party in the form of two bruises on the front of his left upper arm, a bruise on the outside of his upper arm, two scratches on the outside of his left shoulder, three scratches on the back of his left hand and a bruise on the inside of his right lower leg.
"Thereby he committed the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder under Article 144, paragraph 5, in conjunction with Article 20 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro," it states.
After the incident a year ago, the police officer was hospitalized at the Neurosurgery Department of the Clinical Center in Podgorica.

"The person was subdued with the use of means of coercion - physical force, and placed in a detention room," the Police Administration announced officially.
At the same time, they responded to Vijesti that, at the moment Radović was injured, two arrested persons were in the detention facilities.
"One police officer was assigned to provide the same, and the other officer, according to the needs of the service, performed the current task in the on-call service," they explained.
They also said that the number of police officers assigned to secure detention facilities is determined depending on the security assessment:
"More precisely, the categorization of persons residing in detention facilities."
They also explained that the detention facilities are secured by the physical presence of police officers:
"As well as a video surveillance system whose monitoring is carried out in the detention facilities themselves and in the duty service premises."
For the attempted aggravated murder of a police officer, Vukčević could be sentenced to ten years in prison.
According to the Criminal Code, whoever intentionally begins the execution of a criminal offense, but does not complete it, will be punished for an attempted criminal offense for which a prison sentence of five years or a heavier penalty can be imposed by law.
"The use of a certain means or the application of a certain method of execution is also considered as the initiation of the execution of a criminal offense, if they are determined by law as features of a criminal offense," the CC reads.
