The Council of the Supreme Court of Montenegro has issued a decision extending the detention of Petar and Mirko Cicmil for another three months, until July 9th.
The decision, the court said, was made at the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) on April 4.
The Cicmil brothers' detention was extended due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization and the criminal offense of smuggling.

"The defendants' detention was extended due to the risk of flight and the unhindered conduct of the proceedings, as these are criminal offenses for which the law can impose a prison sentence of ten years, or a more severe punishment, and which offenses are particularly serious due to the manner of commission and consequences," the statement reads.
On March 26th of this year, in the same case, the Supreme Court Council extended the detention of the defendants Saša Pekić, Dragan Backović, Predrag Mijušković, Srđan Jokić, Goran Janketić and Nikola Glomazić until June 27th.
