Bijelo Polje police seized a vehicle, a hunting rifle and ammunition in illegal possession, after they controlled an SUV carrying Đorđe Šećković (29) and Bogdan Raščanin (23) from that city.
They acted on information that there were several armed individuals at the Rudo Polje location.
"During the field operations, police officers in the town of Pisana Jela checked a gray Mazda truck with Bijelo Polje license plates and two people: Đ.Š. (29) from Bijelo Polje, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the check, and BR (23) from Bijelo Polje, who was in the passenger seat. Upon inspection of the vehicle, one double-barreled hunting rifle of unknown make and caliber was found, as well as six cartridges for the hunting rifle. The named individuals did not possess any permit for the said weapon or proof of the weapon's origin. The firearms found, ammunition, and the said vehicle were temporarily seized with a certificate," the Police Directorate announced.

The weapon was sent for expert examination to the Forensic Center in Danilovgrad, after which the prosecutor will declare the legal qualification of the crime.

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje informed "Vijesti" that the prosecutor on duty was informed of the aforementioned event.
"After being notified, the prosecutor on duty ordered the officers of the Police Directorate to take measures and actions within their jurisdiction," the ODT's response states.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", two people from Bjelopolje allegedly stated during questioning that they found the rifle in an abandoned house in the area, and that they "were just about to go to the police to hand it over."
According to the same information, Đorđe Šećković is the son of an employee of the Police Directorate.
