Closing arguments are scheduled for Friday at the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje in the case against Marinko (52) and his brother Zdenko (55) Rajković from Kolašin, who are accused of the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs as co-perpetrators.
The people of Kolašin are claiming that on November 24th of last year, they were keeping cannabis and cocaine in their family home in Kolašin for sale.
Forensic expert Nemanja Radojević, who joined via video link, said that it can be concluded from the medical documentation that Marinko has been treated for addiction for several years, and that this year, on two occasions, the Clinical Center prescribed buprenorphine therapy, first two and then six milligrams, which shows that the treatment with the patient was not appropriate because the point is to gradually reduce the dose, not increase it.
The expert emphasized that long-term use of psychoactive substances such as cocaine could have caused problems with the digestive tract, and that it could also be linked to viral liver inflammation - hepatitis C, which is often contracted due to unsterile needles and syringes, in intravenous drug addicts, adding that these are several chronic diseases in which pain is not dominantly present.
Zdenko did not admit to the crime he was charged with in court, while Marinko said that he kept the drugs for his own needs, specifying that he had been consuming and treating addiction for several years, which was the reason for hiring an expert witness.
As stated in the indictment, during a search of Zdenko's house, officers from the Security Department (OB) in Kolašin found 558,81 grams of cannabis, packed in PVC bags, in a bag that he tried to take out of the house, while they seized drugs from Rajko's house, as follows: 0,713 grams of cannabis under the pillow in the living room, 0,496 grams of cocaine, as well as six packages of cocaine in a black bag in the amount of 0,306 g. 0,316 g. 0,326 g. 0,335 g, 0,313 g. 0,306 g, which were located in a plastic box marked "Cedevita", and a metal crusher for crushing narcotic drugs.
In addition, Marinko, without an appropriate weapons document, was in unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition, namely a pistol of the "Crvena zastava" brand, model M57, cal. 7,62 mm, serial number C-25166, with two bullets, as well as one 38 SPECIAL caliber bullet, which was in a bag on the bed, thereby committing the criminal offense of unauthorized possession of weapons and explosives.
