M.Ž. (43) from Nikšić is suspected of abusing his position as an authorized broker and stealing shares from two clients, thereby obtaining unlawful material gain in the amount of 4.774,80 euros, the Police Directorate announced today.
The statement states that the Nikšić police officers filed a criminal complaint against M.Ž. with the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Nikšić on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of abuse of position in business.
"It is suspected that M.Ž. committed the aforementioned criminal offense by abusing his position as an authorized broker, as an employee of a legal entity, during 2020 and 2021, on the capital market, without the clients' orders and knowledge, disposing of, i.e. trading and alienating financial instruments (shares) of two clients, thereby obtaining unlawful material gain in the amount of 4.774,80 euros," the Police Directorate said.
