Police Directorate: Elections in Nikšić and Herceg Novi passed without any security problems

The local elections, held today in Nikšić and Herceg Novi, took place without any security problems, which is an indicator of the democratic maturity of citizens, the Police Directorate (PD) announced.

They said that the officers of the Police Directorate, in accordance with the law and their jurisdiction, carried out an adequate deployment of the service.

"In order to effectively respond to security challenges, and thus act preventively, they aim to maintain stable public order and traffic safety," the statement reads.

The UP said that, from a security perspective, in relation to the state of crime and public order, election day in Nikšić and Herceg Novi passed in the best possible order.

"The police thank citizens for the demonstrated security culture and respect for the law before, during and after the local elections in the two cities," the statement said.
