The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica ordered the detention of Serbian citizen NM, residing in Danilovgrad, for up to 72 hours due to reasonable suspicion that he committed a criminal offense - fraud.
It is suspected that on April 12, he called a Montenegrin Post Office employee on her phone number twice from his own number and, falsely presenting himself as the Post Office Director Josip Đurašković, ordered her to hand him over 10.000 euros and 9.000 euros, which his deputy would allegedly return on the same day.
"The requested amounts of money were handed over to a taxi driver who was waiting in front of the shopping mall, and he left the same money near the suspect's house in Danilovgrad," the ODT announced.
The suspect has already been convicted.
