His detention was recently extended after the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje submitted an indictment to the court there.
According to prosecutorial and court documents, between February 23 and 25, in Bijelo Polje, in the family home in the town of Bistrica, he repeatedly used violence and violated the mental integrity of his wife by threatening to kill her.
The documents state that on February 23rd, he threatened her: "I'll come for your head, you'll be covered in blood," and a day later, over coffee, he told her that he would kill her when their daughter started school, and then commit suicide.
According to the prosecution's files, he threatened her twice more that day, after he came home from work drunk:
"And he asked the injured party if she had milked the cow, and after she answered that she had, he threatened her: 'I will kill you when the children are not here,' and after that he said that he would kill all four of them, referring to the injured party." BM and the children and that he would go to the police and report himself, and then on the same day, in the evening, he addressed the injured party with the words: 'You bitch, you have a lover'".

When deciding on the motion to terminate his detention, the judges took into account the victim's testimony, which indicated that she had previously been a victim of physical violence, that she had reported her husband to the police several times, but had later given up reporting it.
When considering the risk that the defendant would repeat the crime, they also assessed the seriousness of the threats, but also the fact that they were realistically achievable, the fact that relations between the spouses had been disrupted for a long period of time, and the fact that the Bjelopoljac consumes alcohol.
"Despite the fact that the defendant has no previous convictions, as is apparent from the case file, there is a risk of reoffending, and this is evident from the evidence contained in the case file, which, in addition to the statement of the injured party, also emerges from the statement of the witness."
