Podgorica resident Danilo Mandić was ordered to be detained for up to 30 days.
He was heard tonight at the Podgorica High Court.
He was remanded in custody due to possible influence on witnesses and the risk that he would repeat or complete the criminal offense he had begun.
"The investigating judge of the Higher Court in Podgorica ordered the detention of the defendant DM due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of attempted aggravated murder and illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives, and according to the grounds for detention from Article 175, paragraph 1, items 2 and 3 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The detention of the defendant DM is calculated from the day and hour of his deprivation of liberty and, according to this decision, can last up to 30 days at the most," Ivana Vukmirović, independent public relations advisor of the Higher Court in Podgorica, told "Vijesti".
Mandić was arrested on Saturday evening, after surrendering himself to the police.
