The Police Department called on citizens to continue voluntarily returning weapons.
They said that, as part of the "Respect Life, Return Weapons" campaign, from January 2 to April 22, 3.569 weapons, 119.391 pieces of ammunition, 395 hand grenades, as well as several hundred weapon parts and explosive devices were voluntarily surrendered to the police.
In the past ten days, 24 weapons, 1.066 pieces of ammunition and weapon parts have been voluntarily surrendered.
In Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje, citizens voluntarily surrendered 15 weapons, of which 10 were pistols and five rifles, as well as 984 pieces of ammunition of various types and calibers.
Three pistols and several weapon parts were voluntarily surrendered in Bar, Ulcinj and Budva.
Two pistols and 82 rounds of ammunition were voluntarily surrendered in Bijelo Polje and Rožaje.
Citizens in Nikšić and Pljevlja voluntarily surrendered three pistols and one rifle.
"We call on citizens to continue with a responsible and conscientious attitude that demonstrates shared care for the community and contributes to a safer society," the statement reads.
