Danilo Mandić did not shoot me, it was the shortest of the three younger guys, no more than 23 to 25 years old, who had previously "flashed" me at the traffic light, said witness and injured party Darko Perović today at a hearing at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office.
He also claims that he suffered threats and blackmail from the police to accuse Danilo Mandić of wounding.
He told prosecutor Jelena Protić that on the night he was wounded, while he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, three young men got out of a white car, and that he saw a gun on the shortest of them, which is why he started to run away, but was shot.
He also said that he is not joining the criminal prosecution of Danilo Mandić, because there is no reason to, but he will join the prosecution of the person who shot him, if he is discovered.
Recounting what happened that night, he said that he arrived at the "697" bar around XNUMX:XNUMX PM, that he had been drunk and had consumed drugs before that.
He could not remember which vehicle the attackers got out of, but he said it was white and that it was possible that it was a "Reno Clio" or a "Peugeot 205".
"When I left the '697' cafe, the traffic light was red. I noticed a white car, I don't remember the brand, maybe a Renault Clio or Peugeot 205, from which three guys got out, and this vehicle flashed at me before. Two of the guys were about 1,70 m tall, and the third was shorter than them. I opened the door, got out of the vehicle and started running, because I saw a gun in the hands of this shortest guy. At that moment, I was on the sidewalk when that guy fired one bullet and hit me in the left lower leg, and then all three got into the vehicle and left the scene," said Perović.
He is one of those wounded in the incident for which the Higher State Prosecutor's Office suspects Danilo Mandić, nephew and bodyguard of the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić.
