Judges at the Budva Minor Offences Court sentenced four people to 15 days in prison each for driving under the influence of alcohol and opiates.
The President of the Budva Minor Offences Court, Marko Đukanović, said that RB (39) and LM (39) from Herceg Novi, as well as IA (26) from Jagodina, were found guilty in three separate urgent proceedings and sentenced to 15 days in prison each.
"The court found that the defendants were driving vehicles in the territory of Budva under the influence of various types of drugs," the statement said.
It is stated that these individuals were tried on Monday and Tuesday at the court headquarters in Budva.
"In addition to the fines, they were also banned from driving for four months, as well as the maximum number of penalty points. The defendant IA, as a foreign citizen, was sent to serve his prison sentence before the decision becomes final," the statement said.
Đukanović said that on Monday, OS (34) from Budva was sentenced to 15 days in prison before the Kotor department because that day in Kotor he was caught driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 2,49 per mille.
"The judge on duty in the Kotor district, Jelena Stanišić, has ruled that he cannot drive for four months after serving his prison sentence," Đukanović said.
