The Police Directorate has granted police protection to Pobjeda journalist Ana Raičković, five months after she was brutally attacked on November 10th in front of the "Gurman" restaurant in Blok Pet by businessman Zoran Bećirović, his son Luka, and bodyguards Mladen Mijatović and Ljubiša Dukić, Pobjeda writes.
Raičković was assigned a police officer who was in charge of her security.
As explained to Pobjeda, according to the assessments of the authorities, Raičković should be secured by two police officers, but this is currently not possible due to a staffing deficit.
Based on the opinion of the National Security Agency (ANB), after which the Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović made a proposal, the government's inner cabinet granted police protection to Raičković.
The ANB determined at the beginning of March this year that Raickovic's security was at risk and that it was necessary to assign her 24-hour police security, writes Pobjeda.
The first-instance verdict for the attack on Raičković will be delivered today at the Basic Court in Podgorica.
