Podgorica Interpol, in cooperation with the Bijelo Polje police, arrested a Serbian citizen SS (37), who is wanted by Interpol Belgrade, the Police Directorate (UP) announced.
An international red notice was issued for SS, and he is wanted for several criminal offenses.
As announced, a warrant was issued for SS to ensure his presence in criminal proceedings conducted due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of conspiracy to commit criminal offenses and aggravated murder by aiding and abetting.
"The person SS is considered a member of an organized criminal group from the region. On April 25.4.2025, 2021, by a decision of the Higher Court in Podgorica, SS was released from the Prison in Bijelo Polje after serving a four-year prison sentence, to which he was sentenced for the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, and through a timely exchange of information between police officers of the Interpol NCB Podgorica and the Bijelo Polje Security Department, he was deprived of his liberty based on the existence of an international arrest warrant. We remind you that SS was deprived of his liberty in Budva at the beginning of XNUMX due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he was a member of an organized criminal group that planned to commit the murder of Lj. M. from Budva," the statement reads.
"The appointed person was ordered into extradition detention by the investigating judge of the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje. Further communication between the NCB Interpol Podgorica and the NCB Interpol Belgrade follows," the UP said.
