Russian citizen AA (45) was arrested on suspicion of entering the apartment of a Dutch citizen in Tivat around two o'clock this morning and touching her while she was sleeping, the Police Directorate announced today.
The statement states that AA is suspected of the criminal offense of unlawful sexual intercourse.
"Today, in the morning, a Dutch citizen with temporary residence in Tivat approached the official premises of the Tivat Security Department and reported that at around 2:00 a.m. today, an unknown person entered her apartment and, while she was sleeping, touched her body with his hand, and that after she started shouting and calling for help, that person left in an unknown direction," the UP statement said.
The institution added that police officers searched the area and seized video surveillance from the facilities.
"Through operational work in the field, police officers identified AA (45), a Russian citizen currently residing in Tivat, for whom, upon completion of the criminal investigation, there was reasonable suspicion that he entered the victim's apartment on the specified day and committed the described acts on that occasion. The state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor was informed of the incident, on whose order AA was deprived of liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of unlawful sexual intercourse. He will be brought to the prosecutor's office within the legal deadline for further jurisdiction, along with a criminal report," the UP statement reads.
